Innocence

This is a photo of my dog Haley. The photo on the left is before I made any adjustments. I chose to crop the picture in order to greater capture her face and the important facial details. I changed the overall contrast of the photo by adjusting the levels. I wanted to capture the glow and shine of her coat, and how the light reflected on her creating differnt shades. By moving the midtones and darkening up the features, I feel that the photo has greater depth. This photo would be considered a feature because many people can relate to photos of their pets.

Mornings Crisp
This photo was taken to capture the details of a leaf one early morning. Looking at the two pictures, the picture on the left is the original. I wanted to colors to be more real, catchy and show the deep detail in the folds of the leaf. When I edited the photo I used the cropping tool to center the leaf. I adjusted the midtones, focusing mainly on maintaing a balance of the lightness and darkness. My goal was to bring out the contrast of color as the leaf had many folds in it, and when I made my picture with darker tones, the background darkend, which I feel helped bring out greater details in the leaf. This photo is a type of feature photo because it is timeless as many people can experience it on any cool morning.
